University of Babylon succeed in adopting nanotechnology to increase oil extraction

The Faculty of Materials Engineering at the University of Babylon announced on Sunday the success of the adoption of nanotechnology technology to increase oil production from oil wells from 30 to 95 percent.
"The study was conducted in cooperation with the Southern Oil Company to complete the practical experiments using the laboratory of the college to conduct the experiments and extracted the numerical results on the Ansys program," Nizar Jawad Hadi al-Araji, the dean of the college, said in a statement.
He pointed out that "the other tests conducted at the South Oil Company proved the increase in the quantities of oil production by 95% and the certificate of the beneficiary, and the results of the study was submitted to the Ministry of Oil by the Research Department in the Southern Oil Company, The extraction of oil for the next phase and the remaining quantities of oil in the reservoirs of the South, which is equivalent to 60 - 70% of each reservoir, which is a very large increase in production processes.
