The value of foreign currency sales in Sunday's auction rose to $ 189.29 million from Thursday's auction of $ 178.99 million, an increase of $ 10.3 million, according to data released by the Central Bank of Iraq.
The exchange rate was 1190 dinars per dollar, according to data from the Central Bank, in the auction held with the participation of 32 banks, as well as a single money transfer company.
The Central Bank said the sales executed were results on Monday, adding that total sales totaled $ 218.13 million.
The volume of funds sold to strengthen the bank balances abroad amounted to $ 187.94 million, while total selling cash amounted to $ 1.35 million.
