The parliamentary legal committee ruled out Monday the passage of the election law during the new legislative term of the House of Representatives, referring to the failure of the political blocs to agree on a number of paragraphs of the law.
"The political blocs have not reached any agreement so far on some paragraphs of the election law, as well as the dispute over the inclusion of the province of Kirkuk local elections," he said, pointing out that "some political forces refuse to annex Kirkuk The elections being incompetent at the moment and others are trying to postpone the elections in the liberated provinces. "
He added that "these differences will push the bill to vote to the new legislative term of the House of Representatives will not be presented during the current season," noting that "the Electoral Commission is unable to conduct local elections during the current year until next year because the logistics procedures are incomplete."
And Hamza, that "the electoral law will include counting and electronic sorting and not manual, as happened in the parliamentary elections."
