MP in the parliament, Alaa al-Rubaie, Thursday, that the beginning of the next legislative term will witness the questioning of Finance Minister Fouad Hussein, on several files.
Al-Rubaie said that "the hosting of the Minister of Finance aim to discuss outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region," noting that "the federal budget required the government of the province to hand over oil imports to the federal government and did not abide by this agreement."
Al-Rubaie added that "the Minister of Oil confirmed that the region did not allow supervision of sales of oil since 2004 to this day," noting that "the Minister of Oil pointed out that the region produces 380 thousand barrels per day and exports 361 thousand barrels."
Al-Rubaie pointed out that "Irbil has not complied with any agreement and will remain problems with Baghdad for a longer period," noting that "the extensions in this regard will continue and may result in the questioning of figures associated with the file."
In a press conference yesterday, MP Yousef Al-Kalabi confirmed that after the hosting of the finance and oil ministers and the head of the Financial Control Bureau in the House of Representatives, the Minister of Finance will be questioned at the beginning of the next legislative term.
