Iraq agrees to the requirements of local elections and makes a series of economic decisions

The Council of Ministers held its regular session on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
A government statement said that the Council approved the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of Energy on the service contract for the Mansouriya field.
The statement added that the council approved the draft law of partnership between the public and private sectors.
The statement added that the draft agreement was approved to avoid double taxation and prevent the evasion of taxes on income and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of Saudi Arabia.
The council also approved the requirements of the electoral process for provincial councils that are not organized in the region, according to the statement.
The statement added that the council approved the recommendations of the meeting on the development of the Safwan border crossing.
"The cabinet approved the recommendation of the ministerial council for the economy to donate vehicles," the statement said.
The Iraqi Council of Representatives voted on 22/2019 on the adoption of the electoral divisor 1.9 by the system of St. Lego in the upcoming local elections to be held in the spring of 2020.
