In a speech, US President Donald Trump said that Qassem Soleimani had killed people, and hurt a large number of Americans, stressing that his country would pursue anyone who assaulted the United States or its allies .
"We have not taken this measure to beat the drums of war, we respect the Iranian people, and we will keep all American diplomats and allies, but the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Qods Force do not know mercy, " Trump added .
