    The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Kaabi, revealed the latest developments and government measures related to the evacuation of Iraqi students detained in China, against the backdrop of the spread of the Corona virus.
    The media office said in a statement, "Yes Iraq" received a copy of it, that Al-Kaabi stressed the executive authority that Iraqi students and their families in China should be a high priority, and work to return them urgently, taking into consideration the implementation of all required preventive measures.
    This came during his chairmanship of the joint meeting held by the Health and Environment Committee in the House of Representatives today, Monday, February 3, 2020, in the presence of the members of the committee, the technical representative of the Ministry of Health, the representative of the Ministry of Transport, the director of Iraqi Airways and the assistant director of the Public Health Department.
    Al-Kaabi said that the concerned authorities must deal with the epidemic or other epidemic diseases quickly to prevent the transmission of these epidemics from reaching Iraq and to preserve the lives of Iraqis, whether inside or outside the country.
    In order to review the latest developments regarding the conditions of Iraqi students who are in China, especially in the city of Wuhan, the Iraqi consul in this city was contacted Ahmed Al-Azzawi, who outlined the latest information related to coordination between Iraq and the Chinese government to evacuate the students and their families, and arrange with the Iraqi and Chinese technical authorities to prevent any injuries .
    As between the technical undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, the ministry worked from the first moment to declare China and the World Health Organization in the event of an outbreak of the disease in China to coordinate with the authorities and to call for a meeting at the level of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Transport to evacuate the Iraqis from China, and took many preventive safety-related measures Environmental and health at airports and to ensure the safety of arrivals in Iraq, announcing other measures that will be implemented during the next few hours related to detection devices and increase preventive measures in Iraqi ports.
    The meeting concluded with several recommendations that will be urgently submitted to the Prime Minister's office for the purpose of their implementation, including the formation of a high crisis cell headed by the Prime Minister and the membership of the Ministers of Health, Transport, Interior, Foreign and Financial to follow up the details of this epidemic and expedite the transfer of Iraqis present in China and set a precise date to complete the matter and ensure the safety of arrivals To Iraq from the rest of the countries.
    It was also agreed to allocate financial sums from the emergency budget to face the crisis and buy the required equipment for detection and laboratory equipment outside the instructions for implementing government contracts, as well as obliging the authorities concerned to monitor arrivals to Iraq, especially from China and any country in which injury cases were declared, and obliging the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority to inform them The health and interior ministries of the movement of arrivals to Iraq before their arrival at local airports.
    While stressing the importance of there being direct and joint cooperation with the World Health Organization to obtain medical devices and supplies urgently and the Iraqi media network to broadcast awareness-raising programs and workshops for prevention, announcing that a decision was reached in the meeting related to the obligation of the Ministry of Health to submit an application within the 2020 budget to allocate fixed amounts to establish Advanced isolation centers in all governorates with a view to preparing for any future risks.
