On Saturday, legal expert Ali Al-Tamimi said that President Barham Salih would withdraw Prime Minister Adnan Al-Zorafi's assignment after the decision to challenge the membership of the Federal Court.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement, which was followed by Al-Ahd News, that the decision to withdraw the decree of a member of the Federal Court, Muhammad Al-Kubaisi, based on the approval of the General Authority of the Court of Cassation on the decision of the Court of First Instance to cancel this decree as violating the law, will have major repercussions.
He added that “some political parties will challenge the decision to assign Adnan al-Zorfi and will file the case before the Court of First Instance,” noting that “the appeal will be based on the fact that this decree came as a result of a non-lawful and unlawful decision by the Federal Court because of the lack of a member in its formation and the Court of First Instance will issue a decision to cancel the decree and then The President of the Republic will withdraw the decree entrusting Zarfi. ”
The Presidency Court had withdrawn the republican decree appointing Judge Muhammad Rajab al-Kubaisi as an original member of the Federal Court after a court ruling to cancel the appointment and protest from the Supreme Judicial Council.
