The National Security Council discussed in a meeting held by the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Adel Abdel-Mahdi, the file of Iraqi-American relations and the
Prime Minister said in a speech opening the meeting, "We decided to hold this meeting to discuss one axis, which is the file of Iraqi-American relations and the future of economic and security cooperation, and to discuss the existence military after difficult circumstances passed and the fall of martyrs and losses, after the decision taken by the House of Representatives, and in light of our commitment to participate in decision - making and ensure that the national unity and reach agreements serve the national interest.
