    [size=18]On Sunday, Oil Minister Thamer Al-Ghadban revealed the most important issues discussed with the Kurdish delegation that is currently visiting Baghdad, while the Kurdish delegation indicated that cooperation will take place between the governments of Baghdad and Erbil to come up with a unified exit regarding energy optimization.


    Al-Ghadban said, according to a joint press conference with the Kurdish delegation and followed by Alsumaria News, that "the group of 23 countries agreed to reduce production by 23% and he is walking in a group of measures taken by these countries in addition to countries outside the group that volunteered to contribute to improving oil prices in light of the current crisis Economically, in addition to the Corona crisis and the dire economic effects faced by all countries, including Iraq. "






    He added that "the crisis was represented by an increase in the supply of crude oil in the world market, a decrease in consumption and a decline in prices. It was necessary to take quick and effective measures."

    Al-Ghadhban explained, "We indicated in a statement yesterday, the government's measures to commit to gradually reduce oil production and within only the fifth and sixth months. As for the reduction, it is 9.7 per ten. As for the second half of this year, the reduction will be reduced to 8 million barrels per day, and it will reduce the reduction from Iraq. This is followed by an additional reduction in 20121 and the four months in 2022 to six million, at which time the reduction will decrease from Iraq.



    He pointed out that "gas investment was discussed, as there are significant investments in a number of discovered and unexploited fields in the region and there was a positive attitude and the region's government will study the proposal that we submitted to invest in gas in increasing the generation of electric power in a number of stations in Iraq."

    And that "a technical delegation will be sent to the region to cooperate with their colleagues, after which the commercial and technical matters will be discussed with the relevant company."

    Al-Ghadban stressed that "the electricity sector was discussed as an important sector on the lives of citizens, and we are interested in reducing the effects of the electricity shortage in the summer.

    He continued that "it was agreed that cooperation and coordination between the ministries of oil and natural resources and the governments of Baghdad and Erbil will develop in the role of Iraq in the Transparency International, and we have played a constructive role in restoring Iraq to its role as an original member and not an observer after the suspension of its membership."

    The Minister of Oil pointed out, "Discussing the issue of the movement of information and we have put in place a mechanism with regard to the production and export of oil and the resources that flow from this, and they are transferred in a transparent manner."

    For his part, the Kurdish delegation explained: "We are happy with our presence in Baghdad and the meeting was my delegation and fruitful about the oil file, as it was agreed on the importance of Iraq’s commitment to reduce, and the other side with regard to the proposal submitted by the federal government on gas, we have taken the proposal and will be discussed in the cabinet of government The region, and also with regard to maximizing electrical energy, will cooperate with the governments of Baghdad and Erbil to exit.
