political delegation representing the Kurdistan Regional Government arrived in the capital, Baghdad, today, Saturday, to discuss the budget file and resolve the controversy over the region’s share.
The leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ali al-Faili, said, in an interview with local agencies, that "a high-level Kurdish delegation arrived in Baghdad to meet with the political blocs and try to agree and reach results in the draft budget to vote on and pass it within the House of Representatives."
Al-Faili added that, "the continuation of the disagreement over the region’s share still exists, which is a purely political objection, given that there is an agreement between the political blocs on the previously established and specified numbers."
He pointed out that "the government's position is constant, but the political blocs are trying to impede its passage due to the lack of national will," he said. Ended 29/4
