The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament called, Thursday, the Kurdistan Regional Government to cancel the deduction of salaries for employees.
The Union bloc said in a statement that the information received, a copy of it, "We in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan look with great concern to the continued deduction of employees' salaries, and we call on the government to take into account the increase in the percentage of imports and end this deduction when paying the salaries of employees for the current month of March."
The statement added: “Now, after the rise in oil prices to more than $ 65 and the decline in the value of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar, there is no reason to continue deducting the salaries of employees, especially since government officials have confirmed on more than one occasion that the deduction of employees’ salaries will end when oil prices rise and that the government You will be able to pay the employees ’salaries without deduction.”
The statement stated: “We are in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan bloc and although our party is one of the parties participating in forming the government, we will not defend and bear responsibility for the decision to reduce the funding of employees’ salaries by 21% in the face of the new conditions that we referred to.
