    {Politics: Al Furat News} The deputy for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Mayada al-Najjar, stressed the need for Iraq to radically change its political process with the imminent holding of early parliamentary elections scheduled for October 10.

    "There must be a fundamental change to the political map, because the street in 2021 is different from what it was in the past years, and there must be a proposal for a national project," Al-Najjar told Al-Furat News.
    And, and that "changing the political process is not by forming new parties or alliances, and it must be from the heart of the political forces and you feel that Iraq needs a radical change and not to change the names of parties and coalitions."
    Al-Najjar called on the active political parties and forces to "surrender their personal interests and put forward a comprehensive national project to restore confidence between the people, the government and the parties, as it is non-existent."
    And the head of the Iraqi coalition, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, in his speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the death of Aziz al-Iraq, called in his office in Baghdad last Sunday, "the heads of state, leaders of political blocs and all the good patriotic forces to {launch a national pact that paves the way for a safe transition through the upcoming elections}" and summarizes the following:
    1- A national pact that stops the continuous violations and attacks that undermine the prestige of the state and the rule of law.
    2- A national pact that stops political dropout, blackmail and media defamation.
    3- A national pact that defines national priorities and sets the framework for commitment by all.
    4- A national pact that achieves electoral security and paves the way for the word of the people to prevail and be the master of himself in choosing whom he deems qualified to lead the country in the next phase.
