Mubasher: The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, said today, Sunday, that Iraq is working to establish a permanent secretariat to coordinate work between the three countries and work to develop and follow up on what is agreed upon.
Al-Kazemi added, in his opening speech to the Iraqi-Jordanian-Egyptian tripartite summit today in Baghdad: "The leaders focused in the previous meeting on investment and economic cooperation, and it was agreed on a common vision and they succeeded in reaching perceptions, and now at the stage of reaching the implementation of these projects, in the field of connectivity Electricity, agriculture, transportation, as well as food security that King Abdullah raised in the last meeting, and in the field of financial and banking relations and the development of their infrastructure.”
The Iraqi Prime Minister pointed out that there are many memoranda of understanding signed in the past between the three countries, and there are memoranda and agreements that will be signed in the near future.
He continued, "We are working to develop coordination in the security and intelligence fields, especially with regard to confronting terrorism and its financing, in addition to coordination in the fields of education and culture, and in the fields of youth, sports, arts, and health."
The Prime Minister stressed that he is keen to continue this work and develop relations in order to build partnerships that serve everyone, and is trying to crystallize the mechanism of tripartite cooperation, and harness all efforts and capabilities to maintain the level of this cooperation.
