Independent MP Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed that the current government's decisions have fought citizens in all sectors.
Al-Sudani said, in a televised interview, which was followed by "Mawazine News" on Friday evening, that "postponing the elections may mean that they will not be held even on the specified date," noting that "the next stage requires the presence of a large bloc to form the government that will be responsible for it."
Al-Sudani added, "The citizen has become familiar with the discourse of traditional forces," explaining that "the majority of Shiite political forces see October 10 as a deadline for holding elections."
He pointed out that "the government's tasks are to provide a safe environment for the elections," while noting that "there is an external factor to postpone the elections to drag Iraq into the unknown."
