On Thursday, the local government of Al-Diwaniyah Governorate revealed the existence of mafias for illegally selling residential plots in the municipality's district.
[size=45]Deputy Governor Fares Wanas said in an interview: “After receiving complaints, committees were formed to follow up on the work and audit of the governorate’s municipality directorate regarding illegal land sales.”[/size][size=45]He added that "the governorate was able to stop corruption operations regarding the file of selling residential lands within Article 25," noting that "there are mafias and networks within the directorate that seize the numbers of plots of land and grant them illegally to people."[/size]
