Today, Thursday, the Social Welfare Directorate revealed its plan within the current year's budget, while indicating efforts to include nearly 600,000 families across all governorates this year.
The Director-General of Social Welfare, Zikra Abdel Rahim, said, in a statement to the official agency and followed by "The Information", that "the social welfare plan for 2020 and 2021 was not implemented by including new families as a result of the lack of financial allocations."
He expressed his hope that "the current year's budget will be satisfactory in terms of allocations to implement the social welfare plan by including new families," noting that "the directorate's plan aims to include 500 to 600 thousand families in all governorates if the allocations are included in the current year's budget."
He added, "The new families covered will be according to poverty rates, based on the data approved by the Ministry of Planning." finished 25
