    The Information/Baghdad:
    The former Minister of Interior, Baqir Jabr Al-Zubaidi, linked, on Saturday, the developments of events in the Lebanese arena and what is happening in Iraq, stressing that the regional factor that set the Lebanese street on fire is the same one that is trying to confuse the political scene in Iraq.
    Al-Zubaidi said in a statement seen by / the information /, that "the regional factor that set fire to the Lebanese street and forced Hariri to retire is the same one who is trying to confuse the political scene in Iraq," noting that "the regional factor is determined in every way to implement its project in Iraq and Lebanon, whether terrorism and soft war, or direct or indirect interference in the political process, such as projects and investments.”
    He added, "Events will escalate, especially those that affect sovereignty or the democratic process in order to resort to external interference and convince the international community that the political process needs international protection, which is what some personalities are betting on that aims to change the shape of the political equation and bypass the rights of certain components."
    Al-Zubaidi added, "The national forces must be aware of the conspiracies being hatched against Iraq and unify their decision in the face of regional interference, which will continue its attempt to penetrate the Iraqi national ranks through carrots, intimidation, buying of debts, creating crises and creating a public opinion convinced of the need for international intervention, which we have seen in recent days.
