Al-Karaawi told Al-Maalouma, “There are many comments on the budget tables, including the region’s share, which is still unclear.”
He added, "The budget tables did not stipulate how to collect the amounts owed by the region, in addition to the tables that the House of Representatives voted on did not explain in detail the region's financial dues."
He explained that “the 2024 budget is not consistent with the financial and economic situation that the country is facing because it includes high spending,
and the House of Representatives voted on the tables of the Federal General Budget Law No. (13) of 2024, and approved its estimates, annexes, and deficit financing tables.
The Council of Ministers was granted the authority to transfer an amount (2) One trillion dinars from the investment budget allocations to the ministries and adding them to the regional development allocations for the governorates not organized into a region and distributed according to the population ratios and poverty rates in each governorate.
This vote was obligatory with the objection of a number of representatives who saw that the transfer amount was not binding on the government, and that the decision to pass it was a decision Politically and there is courtesy, according to what they say. Ended / 25 hours
