Oil prices rose, on Wednesday, by 1.5%, with the launch of the “OPEC +” group meeting to discuss the situation in the energy market, especially in light of the spread of the mutant “Omicron”.
By 16:00 Moscow time, US West Texas Intermediate crude futures rose 1.53% to $89.55 a barrel, while Brent crude futures rose 1.26% to $90.28 a barrel, according to Bloomberg website data.
For its part, the Russian "TASS" news agency reported that a document showed that the joint ministerial monitoring committee in "OPEC +" recommended an increase in production by 400,000 barrels per day in the month of March. Ended 29/R77
