Abdullah added in an interview, "A number of problems were raised during the session, including farmers' entitlements, and there was a response from the concerned ministers."
He stressed, "the importance of maintaining levels of food security in the country, and overcoming the difficulties and obstacles facing the commercial and agricultural sectors with the necessary laws and legislation," while stressing "the need to address problems related to property disputes and the issue of overtaking and appropriating agricultural lands in a number of Iraq's governorates." Abdullah to “the possibility of including the financial dues of the farmers of the Kurdistan region and the rest of the governorates of Iraq for the past years in the draft federal budget law for 2022 through transfers and exchange doors.”
For his part, MP Mahma Khalil stated that “the hosting focused on securing food security, the food basket, the advancement of the productive sectors, the ration card items, and the strategic food storage for Iraq.”
Khalil added, in a statement, that "the ministers' answers were all in the interest of advancing the Iraqi agricultural and commercial reality, in addition to improving the smoothness and safety of the delivery of ration card items and maintaining the distribution of vocabulary according to the geography of Iraq, as well as providing farmers' dues."
The representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party pointed out that “the answers of the Minister of Commerce were related to the functional aspect and the method of work in the previous ministries, and the provision of financial dues allocated to the Ministry in order to provide the ration card items, in addition to the dues of farmers.”
In turn, the independent MP Amir Al-Maamouri said: “Hosting the ministers of agriculture and trade took place on the grounds that the two ministries are an essential pillar of society,” noting that “discussions with the Minister of Agriculture dealt with several details, including the irrigation plan and the seasonal agricultural plan.” Al-Maamouri added, "The answers of the Minister of Agriculture were related to the agricultural plan, which was negatively affected, and there were many outputs that were proven by the representatives."
