[size=45]On Sunday, the Secretary-General of Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Qais Khazali, revealed details of the "threat" that the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr spoke about, stressing by saying, "The secretary will not betray you, but the traitor may be trusted."[/size]
[size=45]Al-Khazali wrote in his blog, "After it was established what was rumored about the issuance of threats by political parties, it was a malicious attempt by one of the figures known for their foreign relations, who transmitted a threat, and the aim of this lie was to cause sedition (Shiite)".[/size]
[size=45]He added that "what happened during the past two days is evidence that the project of sedition still exists and we must always be wary of it," noting that "persons who are currently entrusted with certain parties are basically dishonest."[/size]
[size=45]Khazali continued: “As it was said, the trustee will not betray you, but the traitor may be trusted,” adding, “The correct treatment for such cases is direct communication or resorting to the judiciary away from the media.”[/size]
[size=45]The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, had indicated that he was threatened, in a tweet to him on Friday (February 18, 2022), he began with a "popular verse of poetry," saying, "I am not threatened with death. Who threatens allies and partners in the government of the national majority.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Sadr said in his tweet, "Once again, the voices of slaying monsters that are aware of nothing but the threat are rising, once again threatening the allies and partners in the government of the national majority."[/size]
[size=45]In this context, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, accused, on Friday (18 February 2022), what he described as “uncontrolled wills” of trying to break the prestige of the state.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Halbousi said in a tweet, "From the beginning, we chose politics as an alternative to the weapons that were raised in our faces in our regions, for our certainty that violence does not build states, but rather is built with freedom, justice and equality in accordance with a ruling constitution and the force of law."[/size]
[size=45]He added, “Today, undisciplined wills appear trying to break the prestige of the state by demolishing its pillars and threatening the components of the people. We did not fear the weapons of the first and will not accept the threat of others, and we did not and will not change our insistent approach to building the state away from violence. WHen did you enslave people when they were born free".[/size]
[size=45]On the same day, the headquarters of the Progress Party led by Al-Halbousi, in the district of Hit, western Anbar Governorate, was attacked by a grenade launcher thrown by unknown persons, which resulted in material damage to the headquarters.[/size]
