Today, Sunday, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein discussed what was mentioned in the report issued by the US State Department on human rights.
The Foreign Ministry stated in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of it, that Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein held a meeting today that included the Senior Undersecretary for Political and Bilateral Relations Nizar Al-Khairallah, the Undersecretary for Legal and Multilateral Affairs Qahtan Taha Khalaf, and the heads of the relevant departments, Human Rights and the Organizations Department International conferences, the America Department, and the Media Office.”
The attendees discussed "what was mentioned in the report issued by the US State Department on human rights and freedoms in Iraq, and the Minister listened to technical views following the follow-ups carried out by the competent departments."
The minister stressed that "the report lacks accuracy and is based in parts on reports issued during previous years. His Excellency recommended continuing meetings and follow-ups in this regard." Ended 29/R77
