    The Muthanna Governorate Investment Commission counted, today, Sunday, the projects implemented in the governorate, and while it disclosed the number of licenses granted to investors, it revealed the production of 20,000 tons per day of cement.
    The director of the province's investment, Adel Al-Yasiri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the investment licenses granted by the commission amounted to about 400 investment licenses in various sectors." 
    He added, "The Investment Authority took it upon itself to draw an economic identity for the province, and thus we made great strides, and the beginning was with the projects of cement factories, where Muthanna became the capital of the cement industry in Iraq," noting that "the province's production of cement today reaches twenty thousand tons, and production has become a brand." Required for all governorates due to its high quality and the physico-chemical qualities it contains, which positively reflected on civil engineering works and also on all citizens, in addition to its low price, reaching ninety thousand Iraqi dinars per ton. 
     He pointed out that "the authority contracted with geological surveyors and we discovered the presence of large quantities of limestone and clays suitable for the cement industry in the province," noting that "cement production reflected positively on all sectors, especially the housing sector." 
    He added, "The authority has an oxidized asphalt project and the material is exported abroad due to the high quality and physical and chemical specifications of the material, as well as providing the governorate with asphalt." 
    He pointed out that "among the investment projects in the province is the Al-Salman project to achieve self-sufficiency in poultry, table eggs, beef, milk, fish and vegetables," noting that "the project fills a large part of Iraq's need for foodstuffs and is now progressing at a clear pace, as well as other projects for car oils and the Kasbah project." Soybean, which is considered the first project in Iraq and is one of the giant and important projects, in addition to the project to produce all kinds of seeds, as well as the iron project that is in the process of implementation, as well as the production of electrical wires.
    He added, "The authority will inaugurate the Arab integration project for the production of paste at the beginning of next May, which will export about 1,000 tons daily, in addition to completing the milk and juice factory, as well as the manufacture of chemical fertilizers." 
    And he indicated that "the projects in the province amounted to 40 different industrial projects in the province," noting that "among the important projects is the pharmaceutical project, which was initiated, as well as the ceramic and porcelain project, which is among the strategic projects that will be implemented by the Chinese company "Venusia" on an area of ​​300 acres. In addition to aluminum projects. 
    He pointed out that there are projects related to housing, school buildings and the health sector, including 3 hospitals in the process of implementation and another fully completed, as well as many popular medicine laboratories and clinics built in this field in Muthanna, in addition to the provision of 18 housing projects in the city of Samawa. 
    And he indicated that "the authority deals in accordance with the investment law, and all the lagging projects within the cities have been addressed, and there is no suspended project affiliated with the authority."
