Representative Nawras Al-Issa identified four reasons and challenges that hit the “Made in Iraq” sign, to cause a drain of hard currency.
Al-Issa said, "The industry in general has suffered an unprecedented setback according to a systematic agenda to make Iraq a consumer market that generates billions of dollars for neighboring countries, noting that there is an undeclared pumping of goods without limitations with the aim of striking any materials manufactured in Iraq with national efforts. She added that there are parties that are pressing to thwart any national industry because importing generates huge sums of money in the pockets of powerful powers.
