Shafak News/ The Central Bank's sales of dollars in an auction today, Tuesday, amounted to more than 220 million dollars.
Shafak News Agency reporter stated, "The Central Bank's sales today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, amounted to 222 million and 44 thousand and 487 US dollars, covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that most of the sales went to meet requests to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 171 million and 244 thousand and 487 dollars, while the rest of them went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 50 million and 800 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 32 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 19 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 212 mediation companies.
