Currency auction in the Iraqi Central.. Dollar sales rise and cash purchases increase
Shafaq News/ The currency auction sales in the Central Bank of Iraq increased from the US dollar, today, Monday, while cash purchases by banks increased.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that today, during its auction for buying and selling US dollars, the Central Bank sold 216 million and 196 thousand and 141 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar, compared to yesterday, Sunday, in which sales amounted to 211 million and 575 thousand and $844.
Our correspondent added that cash sales by banks also increased to reach 41 million and 250 thousand, while the rest amounting to 174 million and 946 thousand and 141 dollars went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits.
Our correspondent indicated that 32 banks have fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, and 15 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 137 mediating companies.
