Kurds are returning to Baghdad from the government portal

    08/18/20140

BAGHDAD - Iraqi Foreign Minister outgoing Hoshyar Zebari, Monday, that the Kurdish officials will participate in the negotiations for the formation of a new Iraqi government, referring to the possibility of improved relations with the central administration. He added that a final decision on whether the Kurds will end suspending participation in the government would be taken at a later time. The Prime Minister outgoing Nuri al-Maliki at odds with the Kurds on the budget and oil. Zebari said Kurdish forces ousted the fundamentalist Islamic state and regained the largest dam in Iraq with the support of the American air raids near the dam. While the American Central Command said that the United States launched a second day of air strikes against the fighters of the Islamic State near the dam using fighter planes and bombers and attack drones. She added that the strikes that launched Sunday the 14 strike damaged or destroyed ten seven armed vehicles and two armored Humvees and armored personnel of the Islamic State in addition to the checkpoint of the gunmen. These attacks were followed by nine air attacks launched by the United States on Saturday. And assigned U.S. Air Force attack Kurdish to restore the dam to 23 days during the raid destroyed or damaged military vehicles and monitor the site for militants extremist organization. It is the largest dam in Iraq, which was built in 1983 and it was called 'Saddam dam', on the Tigris River.
It would regain control of the dam is more important in resolving the country's political situation between the parties on the way to forming a government, especially after the announcement of the approval Zebari Kurds to participate.

Commented Kurdish politicians, in mid-July, officially participating in the Maliki government.

The Kurdish forces had taken control, in June, the city of Kirkuk after the withdrawal of the Iraqi army in front of a surprise attack from militants organization 'Islamic state' who took control of large areas of the north and west of the country.

This has caused the formation of the complexity of the Iraqi government, which al-Maliki was seeking to finish it because of his disagreement with Kurdish peshmerga forces on the occupation of the oil facilities are important, and its ongoing quest to export oil to countries such as Turkey without returning to the central government in Baghdad.

He asked President Masoud Barzani of the Kurdistan region of the regional parliament in Arbil, beginning in July, to prepare for a referendum on independence, which angered Maliki.

Ties deteriorated further when Maliki accused the Kurds to convert their capital base for the organization of the Islamic State and others, including former members of the dissolved Baath Party, which was led by former president Saddam Hussein.

In protest against this accusation, declared the Kurdish political bloc suspended its participation in the Baghdad government, while continued Kurdish lawmakers to attend parliament sessions.

Takeover of the organization of the Islamic state on the towns and oil fields adjacent to the Kurdish capital Arbil in northern Iraq beginning in August, pushing the owner to order the Iraqi Air Force to provide support for the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, which is what several observers attempt to reach out to the Kurds to dissuade them from their demands for independence.
