    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

Over the past week, the Central Bank of Iraq sold more than one billion and 300 million dollars of hard currency during its auction from Sunday to Thursday, record numbers that rose dramatically, especially with the resignation of Finance Minister Ali Allawi, without knowing the reasons for the steady rise.
And the central bank sales data seen by "Yes Iraq" showed that hard currency sales last Sunday amounted to about 268 million dollars, while on Monday it rose to more than 274 million dollars.
Tuesday's sales amounted to more than 240 million dollars, while on Wednesday it set a record with sales of more than 293 million dollars, while the auction ended a week on Thursday with selling more than 267 million dollars, most of which went abroad as remittances for the purpose of import.
Where about 85% of dollar sales went abroad for the purpose of import, at a rate of 1.1 billion dollars, in contrast, about 200 million dollars went to internal banks as cash sales.
