Former MP Jassem Al-Bayati stressed the importance of resorting to the law and the constitution to solve the current political crisis and lead the country to safety, pointing out that pressures will not succeed and there will be no solution other than to invoke the constitution.
Al-Bayati said in a press statement, "The Federal Court has legal duties, but it does not have the authority to dissolve the House of Representatives or decide on a case related to this issue, and the law is clear and determines the party that can go towards a solution."
He added that "the political process will not proceed in violation of the constitution, as the solution to the crisis is not through exercising pressure and violating the law and the constitution, but through the House of Representatives and in legally defined ways."
And he indicated that "the attempt to impose the will and pressure did not succeed at all, and there will be no solution to the crisis without a commitment to the constitution and dialogue between the political parties in order to get the country out of the crisis."
