Shafaq News/ Foreign remittances sales of the dollar increased compared to cash sales, by more than 86% with the end of the bank's sessions for the current week from today, Thursday.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 249 million, 716 thousand, and 253 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that 86% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 219 million and 366 thousand and 253 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 30 million and 350 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 35 banks have responded to requests to enhance balances abroad, and 11 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 78 mediation companies.
