Sales of foreign remittances from the dollar increased in the Central Bank auction

Shafak News/ Foreign remittances sales of the dollar increased at the expense of cash sales, by more than 91% in the Central Bank auction with its opening on Sunday.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated, "The Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 234 million and 801 thousand and 274 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that 91.12% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 214 million and 851 thousand and 247 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 19 million and 950 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 30 banks have fulfilled requests to enhance balances abroad, and 13 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 137 mediating companies.
