On Thursday, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Ivan Jabro, directed the formation of a committee to follow up the mechanism for distributing grants to those who deserve it.
The Ministry of Immigration said in a statement, "Jabro held today, Thursday, at the ministry's office in the capital, Baghdad, an extensive meeting with the directors of the ministry's branches in the country's governorates, during which a number of issues were discussed related to the remaining displaced families in the camps and outside and families returning to their areas of origin."
During the meeting, Jabro confirmed that "the ministry will harness all its capabilities to ensure the continuity of the branches' work according to its plan to complete all its projects, overcome all challenges and redouble efforts to finally solve the file of the displacement crisis," indicating that the work of the branches' performance will be monitored and evaluated
. It would impede the progress of work at all levels, in addition to the necessity of delivering relief aid and heating fuel and providing it to the displaced as soon as possible.”
According to the statement, the Minister of Immigration directed the formation of a special committee to monitor and follow up the mechanism for distributing financial grants to those who deserve it, stressing "the importance of dealing with the file of the displaced with all professionalism and mobilizing efforts in conjunction with the advent of the winter season."
