    The President of the Republic, Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid, directed today, Tuesday, during his meeting with a member of the Supreme Committee for the Implementation of Article (140) of the Constitution, Babiker Siddig Ahmed, to form a committee to follow up the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for the implementation of Article by the relevant ministries.

    The media office of the President of the Republic stated, in a statement received by Alsumaria News, that the latter "received, at the Baghdad Palace, a member of the Supreme Committee for the Implementation of Article (140) of the Constitution, Babiker Siddig Ahmed, as the President of the Republic stressed during the meeting, the need to work seriously to implement Article (140) and in accordance with It guarantees the delivery of rights to its people, and addresses the unjust decisions taken by the former regime with the aim of demographic change.



    The President of the Republic referred to "the importance of communication and joint work with the relevant ministries, such as justice, agriculture and defense, to follow up on the implementation of Article (140)," directing "the formation of a committee in the Presidency of the Republic to follow up on the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee for the implementation of Article (140) by the relevant ministries."

    The statement added, "The President of the Republic listened briefly from Babiker Siddig Ahmed about the progress of the work of the Committee for the Implementation of Article (140) of the Constitution, what has been accomplished and the obstacles facing the completion of its work, in addition to a number of proposals to support the work of the Committee in the performance of its tasks."

    The committee member expressed his "thanks and appreciation to the president for his interest and keenness to support and follow up the work of the Supreme Committee to implement Article (140) of the constitution."
