Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of US dollars in the currency auction today, Thursday, amounted to more than 140 million dollars, with the participation of 30 banks.
Shafaq News agency reporter stated that the Central Bank sold, during its auction today, for the sale and purchase of US dollars, 141 million and 767 thousand dollars, which the bank covered at a basic exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
He added that most of the sales went to consolidate the balances abroad in the form of transfers and credits, amounting to 113 million and 767 thousand dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 28 million dollars.
Our correspondent indicated that 18 banks have met requests to consolidate balances abroad, and 12 banks have met cash requests, in addition to 91 mediation companies.
