The Federal Integrity Commission revealed, today, Wednesday, that it has monitored major corruption cases that include serious financial, administrative and legal violations in the file of feeding prisoners and referring it to the Supreme Commission for Combating Corruption.
The authority stated, in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "the Supreme Commission for Combating Corruption and its supporting team met to complete the preparation of files for the upcoming battle against corruption, as well as to discuss the issues before it, and to discuss appropriate mechanisms to accelerate anti-corruption procedures."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the implementation of the decisions taken in the case of theft of tax secretariats, and digging into its hidden secrets that have not yet been discovered; to find out the total and real amounts and to reach all parties to it - people and institutions - as well as to exert unremitting efforts at the internal and external levels; To arrest the wanted suspects, return the stolen money to the state treasury, and recover the fugitive suspects and the money smuggled out of Iraq.”
He explained, "The meeting, which was chaired by Judge (Haider Hanoun), head of the Supreme Commission for Combating Corruption, and was attended by the head of the support team, Lieutenant General (Abdul Karim Abdul Fadel Hussein), Director General of the Ministry of Interior, resulted in several decisions, including: following up on returning funds in the tax trusts case, And speed up the procedures for the case, and the implementation of the arrest and recruitment orders issued in it.
And he continued, "On the other hand, a number of cases referred to the Supreme Commission for Combating Corruption were discussed, from which it chose to consider the file of prisons and positions, especially after the financial and administrative breaches that were monitored by the work teams formed to visit prisons, as the public opinion will be informed in the coming days of the results."
