Baghdad / Obelisk: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs issued a statement regarding the entry of foreign workers into Iraq.
The ministry said, in a statement received by Al-Masalla, that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs clarifies that granting entry visas to foreign workers is not within its work, but rather within the competence of other government agencies.
He added that what was raised on one of the satellite channels regarding the issue of granting entry visas to foreign workers is that the ministry has nothing to do with granting entry visas (visa) because it is within the jurisdiction of the Residence Department in the Ministry of Interior, noting that there is a decision by the Council of Ministers that allows the Ministry of Oil to apply directly to the Residence Department. In the Ministry of the Interior for the purpose of obtaining entry visas, and that the role of the Ministry of Labor is limited to granting work permits to migrant workers to the country, including workers in oil companies.
The Ministry of Labor confirms that it is ready to cooperate with all media outlets to provide them with information and news related to their work and tasks, and everything that would inform the public about the details and issues of work and social affairs.
