    [size=45]The Ministries of Labor, Social Affairs, and Interior agreed to adopt electronic automation to grant work permits and entry visas to foreign workers, and not to grant security permits to oil companies except after foreign workers obtain an official, licensed work permit in accordance with the provisions of the law.[/size]
    [size=45]Director of the Labor and Training Department of the Ministry of Labor, Osama Majeed Al-Khafaji, explained that his directorate agreed with the Residency Department of the Ministry of Interior to establish new procedures and an advanced mechanism to regulate the entry of foreign workers, with regard to granting work permits and entry visas by adopting electronic automation and a unified electronic system between the two ministries and an interface. Unified to complete transactions in this aspect, on the basis of which officially licensed companies are allowed to apply through this system and follow up on transactions electronically, according to a set of instructions and conditions to be agreed upon later, after holding a meeting between the two parties in preparation for launching this advanced system in dealings with companies and offices licensed to recruit workers. Foreign workers, stressing also the agreement not to grant security permits to oil companies, except after the foreign workers obtain an official and licensed work permit in accordance with the provisions of the applicable law.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Khafaji added that the Ministry has established a specific mechanism to bring in skilled foreign workers with experience, in implementation of the terms of the government program and in line with the decisions of the Council of Ministers in this regard, to benefit from their experience in various economic fields to train local workers, confirming that some companies and laboratories have adopted this procedure, by bringing in Foreign experts trained Iraqi workers, seeking to gradually reduce foreign labor until the percentage of national labor is no less than 70 percent.[/size]
    [size=45]He stated that protecting the rights of workers in the private sector must be in line with the Ministry’s vision of serving the interests of the working class, and addressing all problems related to improving the reality of this class and seeking to find radical solutions for them, stressing the need to benefit from international expertise in this regard according to standards that guarantee more Rights for workers according to a purposeful professional vision.[/size]
