The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development has launched the e-donate application, which is the first financial electronic application related to charitable and developmental humanitarian work in Iraq.
The head of the organization, Dr. Ahmed Musharraf Al-Hiti, told Al-Sabah: The e-Donate platform is the first financial electronic application for civil society organizations in Iraq, considering it a quantum leap in charitable work in Iraq.
Al-Hiti added that the application came in line with the government and the Central Bank's approach to using digitization in the circulation of funds, since Iraq is part of the world and has been implementing this digitization for years.
And he continued that the application will involve citizens of well-off owners of companies, merchants, and financial and economic institutions in the donation process, facilitating the mechanism, and directly involving citizens by knowing the project they donate to, where it arrived, and the amount of money that came with full transparency and ease, explaining that the application came through direct support from the Central Bank of Through the nomination of several companies to be a gateway for electronic payment and operation, and to be very solid and registered with them, and to support strategic projects, including the sacrifices of Iraq, which is implemented annually, the future Iraqi Children’s Cancer Hospital project, and the national project for the mobile medical clinic, which has been implemented since the displacement of the people from the liberated areas until now.
He pointed out that the organization went to provide primary health care services in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Green Iraq Initiative project, which came with the directives of the Prime Minister and the government of the initiative he launched last week at the climate conference held in Basra, by launching a campaign to plant 5 million trees in Iraq, where the organization will be. Part of it and the support of the Tamkeen Fund in the Central Bank of this initiative through the volunteer network of the organization.
He noted that the organization, since its establishment in 2003, has been providing assistance and contributing to the building of modern Iraq. Its work has been in various fields of relief, health, protection, education, and environmental sanitation. The government of Iraq over the past years, where the number of beneficiaries was more than one million beneficiaries annually, especially during the major humanitarian crisis since 2014, and after declaring final victory over the gangs of sabotage and the birds of darkness, the organization rolled up its sleeves to help in the reconstruction of Iraq and launch the stabilization program with the support of the community International and Arab, and after stability, the organization has been presenting large development projects, including the "Iraq sacrifice project - the Future Children's Cancer Hospital project - the national mobile hospital project in "Iraq".In addition to other social campaigns to help those affected in the region, the latest of which was the devastating earthquake that struck Syria and Turkey. We also launched the Green Iraq Project initiative to confront the climatic changes that have cast a shadow over the past years and directly affected people’s lives.
