Parliament prepares a schedule to host ministers and heads of agencies

Al-Sabah,
the Parliamentary Legal Committee drew attention to the preparation of a schedule to host ministers and heads of independent bodies to discuss important and pending files, including water, electricity, and border demarcation with the State of Kuwait.
Committee member Ahmed Fawaz Al-Watifi said, in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "Parliament committees have prepared a schedule with a number of guests for many ministers and heads of independent bodies to discuss important and pending files, the most important of which is the electricity and water file, in addition to demarcating the borders between Iraq and Kuwait."
He added, "Parliament seeks to strengthen its legislative work through oversight and to host officials and personalities of the executive authority to serve the government's policy and methodology and implement its program."
He continued, "One of the issues of concern to citizens is the high currency exchange rates, and there is a parliamentary dialogue regarding hosting the Minister of Finance and specialists to find out about the country's monetary policy and the need to maintain the official exchange rate approved according to the budget for the year 2023 without manipulation, because manipulation will lead to confusion in the citizen's standard of living.
