The Iraqi Embassy in Saudi Arabia opens the electronic passport issuance system

{Local: Al-Furat News} The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that the Iraqi embassy in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, opened the system for issuing electronic passports.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement, a copy of which {Al-Furat News} received, that “the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Riyadh was opened on 9/30/2023 by printing and issuing the first electronic Iraqi passport, and in the presence of the Iraqi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, the relevant embassy staff, and the specialized technical team from Iraqi Ministry of Interior.
During the opening, Ambassador Al-Suhail expressed her thanks to the Director General of Naturalization and Residency, Major General Nashat Al-Khafaji, and his technical team, who continued their efforts to overcome the technical obstacles to launch this service for the members of the Iraqi community.
