The Iraqi Embassy in Cairo opened the electronic Iraqi passport issuance system at the headquarters of the Iraqi Consulate in Egypt, while the Ministry of Interior indicated the imminent issuance of the unified card in all embassies.
The Iraqi Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Dr. Ahmed Nayef Al-Dulaimi, said: There are efforts by the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the employees of the Iraqi Consulate in Egypt, to open this system in order to issue the passport at the same moment in which the citizen submits the renewal application without any further delay. Complications, noting that the required documents are limited to the unified card and that the time for completing the new passport does not exceed
one hour.
For her part, the representative of the Ministry of Interior, Captain Hanan Kamel, said: The system works according to a very fast system, as the security check with Baghdad takes place within a few seconds and immediately after that the passport is printed in the country and delivered to the citizen, revealing that the unified card system will soon be installed in all our embassies in countries. the world.
