Shafaq News/ The Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region announced on Thursday that the first batch of locally produced natural flowers will be put on the market early next year.
The Minister of Agriculture, Bikard Talabani, said in a press conference held today that the first batch of locally produced natural flowers will be put on the market in the Kurdistan Region after the New Year holidays for the purpose of providing flowers for all occasions and to flower enthusiasts within the region.
She added that there is a large and popular trade in importing flowers, and for this reason and to prevent money from going outside the Kurdistan Region to buy this product, we are working to establish internal projects to produce flowers.
Talabani continued by saying that discussions were held with a group of capital owners in order to start establishing flower production projects in the Kurdistan Region.
