    [rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Director-General of the International Labor Organization, Gilbert Hongbo, thanked the Iraqi government for its efforts in hosting the Arab Labor Conference in Baghdad.

    He said in a speech at the opening of the conference: “There are many challenges in the world of work, including technological development.”

    He stressed: “The events in Gaza have led to unstable economic conditions, and we will continue to work to mitigate the effects of the war in Gaza, and it is very important that we continue investing in social protection.”

    Hongbo added: “It is very important that we continue investing in social protection,” calling for joining the Global Alliance for Social Development and addressing human and labor rights./End 9[/rtl]

    Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization: We will continue to support the Palestinian cause

    [rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Qatari Minister of Labor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Labor Organization, Ali bin Saeed Al-Marri, confirmed that the organization continues to support the Palestinian cause.

    Al-Marri said in a speech at the opening of the Arab Action Conference: “We meet today in Baghdad under exceptional circumstances, especially the reality in Gaza.”

    He added: “We hope to produce results that preserve workers’ entitlements, as we reviewed in the organization’s report the reality of workers in the Palestinian territories and the genocide they are subjected to.”/End 9[/rtl]
