The Federal Integrity Commission announced that it has opened the door to investigate and investigate allegations of bribe offers that were allegedly made to members of the House of Representatives. In order to vote for a specific candidate for the presidency of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
The Commission stated in a statement received by “Al-Ma’louma/” that “an official letter was issued by the Commission’s Investigations Department addressed to the offices of the members of the House of Representatives (Majed Shangali, Ahmed Al-Jubouri, Raad Al-Dahlaki, Hussein Al-Saabari, and Ali Turki) in order to come to the headquarters.” The Commission’s Investigations Department, and to provide more information about the statements they made to some media outlets that were monitored by the Commission’s Information Office.
It is noteworthy that “the Commission’s Information Office followed up on the statements of some distinguished members of the House of Representatives after the session to elect the Speaker of the House of Representatives, as some of them claimed to have received Offers from some council employees, while others claimed to have been informed of these offers via WhatsApp messages, while some of them stated that they had confirmed the size of the amounts allegedly offered for payment.”
