The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs pointed out that it does not have a record of the real numbers of foreign workers entering the country, as a result of most owners of recruitment offices and projects evading giving their correct numbers, announcing the preparation of a plan to develop a new mechanism to correct this.
The Director General of the Ministry’s Department of Labor and Vocational Training, Osama Majeed Al-Khafaji, said in an interview with “Al-Sabah” followed by Mawazine News/ that his ministry issued instructions during the past months regarding the need to correct the position and numbers of foreign workers by the Council of Ministers within 45 days, and they were later renewed.
