Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: The Director General of the Central Oil Company stressed the keenness of the Ministry and the company to provide the appropriate investment environment for the work of international companies that won the fifth licensing rounds to develop oil and gas fields and sites.
The Director General of the Central Oil Company, Muhammad Yassin, said during an inspection visit to the two fields (Al-Khasham Al-Ahmar and Galabat) in Diyala Governorate, that this visit comes within the minister’s directives to follow up on the direct operations of developing and rehabilitating the Al-Khasham Al-Ahmar and Galabat fields, with the aim of investing good quantities of gas by the Emirati company Al Hilal. The winner of the development of the two fields, within deadlines and commitments to development plans all the way to production.
Yassin pointed out the importance of developing these fields in adding new quantities of oil and gas to national production,
and the company’s general manager held a meeting with the security leaders in the governorate, with the aim of security coordination and cooperation in this field.
It is noteworthy that the aforementioned fields are part of the fifth licensing round.
