General Authority for projects of irrigation and reclamation of looked to the Ministry of Water Resources with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) represented by a team of Japanese consulting company NTC, the proposed irrigation projects implemented by the Japanese loan.
According to a ministry statement, received by the agency of our economy News, a copy of "The Water Resources Ministry, represented by the Public Authority for projects of irrigation and reclamation, held recently at the headquarters of the Authority a joint meeting included a number of experts and stakeholders in the ministry and a team of Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) represented by the Japanese consultancy firm NTC, There were discussed during the meeting required to implement a project survey and collect information on TCP project water users associations in Iraq, which included all governorates of Iraq and with direct support from the Japanese side procedures especially with regard to establishment and management of water users associations. "
"We also discussed the information required for the implementation of the proposed irrigation projects within the Japanese / second stage of the loan in the center and south of Iraq project, which will contribute significantly to raising the perfusion and improve the development of irrigation projects and maintenance efficiency."
The statement pointed out that "the Japanese team made a visit to the National Center for Water Resources Management and the Center for Studies and engineering designs and praised the great and fruitful collaboration by experts and consultants in the Ministry of Water Resources and their quest hard to develop water management and improve irrigation conditions and the rehabilitation of infrastructure of water resources in Iraq."
