Border Patrol agents are responsible for protecting the borders of America, preventing illegal immigrants, drug cartels, as well as terrorists, from crossing over the borders illegally to enter the U.S., but for years they have publicly stated they were being prevented from doing their jobs and enforcing the nation's laws by politicians pushing an ideological agenda and yesterday, March 30, 2016, they made an unprecedented move by endorsing a presidential candidate for the first time ever.
National Border Patrol Council Endorses Donald Trump for President
Within their statement, which can be read in its entirety at the link above, they explain the deadly dangers that result from unprotected borders, but it is the following quotes from their official statement that resonate with a statement an ANP moderator and reader brought to our attention from Ted Nugent, which will be shown in full below the BP Councils quotes.
Via the statement:
Unlike his opponents, Donald Trump is not a career politician, he is an outsider who has created thousands of jobs, pledged to bring about aggressive pro-American change, and who is completely independent of special interests. We don't need a person who has the perfect Washington-approved tone, and certainly NOT another establishment politician in the W.H. Indeed, the fact that people are more upset about Mr. Trump’s tone than about the destruction wrought by open borders tells us everything we need to know about the corruption in Washington.
[...]
You can judge a man by his opponents: all the people responsible for the problems plaguing America today are opposing Mr. Trump. It is those without political power – the workers, the law enforcement officers, the everyday families and community members – who are supporting Mr. Trump.
The NBPC explains why they are taking this unprecedented action of endorsing a presidential candidate and joining in this war against the political elite by stating "The NBPC has had a longstanding practice of not endorsing presidential candidates in the primaries. We will not, however, shy away from voicing our opinions as it pertains to border security and the men and women of the United States Border Patrol. As such, we are breaking with our past practice and giving our first-ever endorsement in a presidential primary."
While the Council refers to Trump's opponents calling them the very people responsible for trying "to keep us from doing our jobs," and speaks to the corruption running rampant throughout the Washington political class, Ted Nugent in a Facebook post from March 29, 2016, provides a partial list of those opposing Trump in an epic post that has been "liked" by over 146,000 people, shared nearly 53,000 times and has over 10,000 comments.
BOTTOM LINE
For years we have seen everyday Americans decry the Washington politicians that have stopped representing those that were elected into office for the sole purpose of representing them. We have noted the media attempting to mislead offering great understanding why polling shows the public distrusts them. We have seen Hollywood celebrities sitting in their plush mansions declaring "we the people" should contibute more when many can barely make ends meet as it is. In this election cycle we have witnessed establishment Democrats and Republicans plot and plan, very publicly, to overturn the will of voters that have already cast their vote. We have observed organized, paid protesters bought and paid for to demonstrate against Donald Trump.
Each and every one of the "enemies" on Nugent's list oppose Trump.
