Check Out How Obama Now Answers When Asked if Trump Can Win Election

President Barack Obama now says “anything is possible” when it comes to the outcome of this November’s presidential election.
Savannah Guthrie of NBC News’ “Today” asked the president during an exclusive sit-down interview if there’s a chance Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump could become commander-in-chief.

“Anything is possible,” Obama said. “It is the nature of democracy that until those votes are cast and the American people have their say, we don’t know.”
Obama’s response to Guthrie — released as an excerpt Tuesday night ahead of Wednesday morning’s complete airing — was markedly different from just a few months ago when he said, “I continue to believe Mr. Trump will not be president.”

The latest CNN/ORC poll has Trump up five points over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton — 44 to 39 percent. In the same poll, Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson had 9 percent and Green Party nominee Jill Stein had 3 percent.
Trump received a six-point bounce after he was officially nominated for president at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week. It’s expected that Clinton will also receive a bounce in the polls after her party’s nominating process this week in Philadelphia.
